Doctrinal Statement of Amazing Grace Baptist Church

Concerning God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.  (1John 5:7)

Concerning the Bible
We believe in the divine inspiration of the scriptures
by holy men of old, as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (II Peter 1:19-21). We believe the Word of God has been divinely preserved in the 1611 King James Version for English-speaking people.

Concerning Salvation in Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who is our mediator at the Father's right hand. He was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of Mary, a virgin. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross bearing our sins, arose from the grave accomplishing our redemption, according to the Scriptures.. He ascended bodily after His resurrection.  Therefore the scriptures teach us that salvation is a gift through His sovereign grace. (Eph.2:8, Isa.7:14, Romans 3:24-25, Eph. 1:7)

 Concerning the Security of Believers
We believe that once saved, the believer is kept eternally by God's power and is secure forever (John 6:37-40; Eph 4:30).

 Concerning Ordinances
We believe that scriptural baptism is by immersion of born-again believers only. It is the outward sign of an inward belief and change.  We also partake in the ordinance of the Lord’s supper by the use of communion bread and grape juice. (I Cor. 11:23-31)

 Concerning Eternity

We believe in a scriptural rapture of born again believers.  We believe this will be followed by seven years of tribulation upon this earth for those who are left behind.  After the seven years, the scriptures teach us of a great battle of which Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords.  The scriptures then teach us of the thousand year reign upon the earth and our eternal home in eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ.  (Rev. 4:1, Rev.3:10-11, Rev.19)
